Wicks made of cotton-coated glass fiber (wick adjustment of 1-2 mm is usually sufficient, prevents unnecessary burning. The flame can be very small at first, but develops to the normal flame size within a few minutes) ATTENTION: Only light the wick when it is completely soaked in lamp oil. Otherwise the glass fibers may fuse. then pull something out and cut it off. Please only use clear lamp oil. Colored is usually too viscous, can clog the wick and is not really suitable for oil lamps.
