You must thread the wick into your existing wick holder yourself. The best way to do this is to slightly "twist" one end of the wick, hold it firmly directly at this end and "screw" it into the hole on the wide side of the holder. Of course there is no thread in the metal holder, but with a screwing movement the wick can be pushed better into the holder. When the wick sticks out at the other end, carefully pull it to the desired total length and cut it off.

If you want to change the wick of several lamps, first thread all the wick holders one after the other, align them to the desired length and only then cut them off. this is a little easier.

Material: cotton-coated glass fiber (wick adjustment of 1-3 mm is usually sufficient, prevents unnecessary burning. The flame can be very small at first, but develops to the normal flame size within a few minutes) ATTENTION: Only light the wick when it is completely soaked in lamp oil. Otherwise the glass fibers may fuse. then pull something out and cut it off. Please only use clear lamp oil. Colored is usually too viscous, can clog the wick and is not really suitable for oil lamps.
